Connecting with family and community is a beautiful thing! Including everyone in our gatherings can bring so much joy. This holiday season bring all of that

I recently spoke with an amazing author, Kelly Inglisa about her book on the Butterfly Hug self-regulation technique, as part of a Social and Emotional Learning series.
It's a great regulation tool for everyone - kids, adults, neurotypical & neurodivergent as we all have feelings that can flutter out of control from time to time.

We came up with a fun art project to share with you. The Flutterfly Project
It's a fun craft to do with the family for Thanksgiving as well!
The project is a 15-minute (or longer, if you want!) activity that brings people together. Here's what you'll need:
- Paper (any kind)
- Color (dot markers, regular markers, paint)
- Black marker
- Phone to take pictures
- Love for each other
Here's how to do it:
1. Lay your paper down and trace your hands, palm up, with thumbs in the middle.
2. Share how you're feeling and choose colors that represent those feelings.
3. Decorate your butterfly!

Don't want to facilitate?
Here are a couple options:
Go see Shino at The playful Palette Co.
She will walk you through step by step and has all the supplies ready for you!
Or
Do your holiday shopping while Coach Kristie facilitates it at That Place hosting Kindermotion for her Black Friday Date Night!
This gives you time away to shop, wrap your presents, or just take a brief moment to relax from all the craziness, while your children get to do crafts and activities!
We're collecting submissions to feature in the illustrations of Kelly Inglisa's book.
Email her your butterflies and let us know if you'd like to include a name.
(Submitting by email will get you signed up for the email list to be the first to know when the book drops!)
We're excited to see the butterflies as unique and diverse as each of you!
Deadline for submissions is Black Friday by 6pm
