Family Night or Date Night...

Lazy Dog Has It All Covered!

By Emily Bedel September 4, 2025

When you get asked if you want to go try some fabulous food, you always accept the invitation!

My family and I were invited to do just that; however it happened to be date night, which if you're a parent you know exactly how rare those can be sometimes.

So, we took the opportunity to drop the kids off with their Gigi & Op and go out on our own adventures, from going and meeting rescued wolf dogs at Matters Ville Vets to going and eating at Lazy Dog, there seemed to be a theme for this date.

I know what you're thinking... NO we did not come home with a dog, no matter how tempting it was to do so.

Being that we took advantage of this rare occasion to ourselves we got to indulge in all of the delights this beautiful restaurant had to offer.

From the gracious and wonderful staff who waited on us, to the incredible meal we ate, it was definitely a 10/10 experience!

We will be telling all of our friends and family about it.

We tried several different appetizers: Crispy Deviled Eggs, Bacon Biscuits, & Cheese Curds.

(My favorite was definitely the Crispy Deviled Eggs; the garnish was amazing as well with their signature made in house honey mustard! I highly recommend them!)

As parents there are times where we just can't help but think of our kids while we are out.

It's definitely the same for me and my husband especially when we read about all the new things they have for families now!

They had a great selection on the kids menu which was priced better than going out for fast food with impeccably better ingredients!

Here’s what’s new:

NEW Family Nights on Wednesdays
Every Wednesday, kiddos 12 and under get a free Build Your Own Sundae (yes, with all the toppings!) when dining in with a kid’s entrée. We’re talking ice cream, sprinkles, chocolate AND strawberry sauce - ALL the sweet fixin’s!

Being that family nights are so popular, for good reasons, you'll want to make a reservation ahead of time to help with the wait time and ensure you can get in.

Lazy Dog Restaurants, LLC

NEW DIY Candy Dog Collars
Forget the restaurant toy bag? No worries - we’ve got you covered! To keep things fun at the table, kids can make wearable treats by stringing Froot Loops® onto a licorice “collar” — part snack, part craft…and hello, uninterrupted grown up chat!

Awards for Awesome Kids
Lazy Dog loves giving back to the community through their Top Dog Awards program — recognizing standout kids with free meal vouchers. Perfect for teachers, coaches, and counselors to reward and recognize their rockstars.

Menus Made for Mini Foodies
From Chicken Nuggets and Hamburgers to Teriyaki Chicken and brand-new Cheesy Pizza Sticks, there’s something for every appetite. Weekend brunch brings even more favorites like Chocolate Chip Pancakes and the Top Dog Breakfast (eggs, bacon, and tater tots = yes please).

Host a Fundraiser
We also host fundraising nights — 15% of proceeds go straight to a charity or school.

Recently we have been working really hard to go low carb and no sugar, but we decided because of this special occasion we'd try all different things.

This is the most fun we've had at a restaurant in a long time, we truly felt like kids again!

We ended the night with nostalgia by getting the S'more Brownie Sundae, it was so decadent, the toasted marshmallow put over the top, with the gram cracker crust on the bottom of the brownie, I still think about that most in my sugar craving moments!

Best dessert ever! 12/10 I recommend, and it's big enough to share with the family.

But who really wants to share their dessert, right?
