A park with a view, and lots to do.

Have you ever wanted to find a park that was as beautiful as it was functional? As a fellow Colorado Springs Parent, I love a park with shade, and entertainment at every corner. The City of Colorado Springs really made all of those dreams come true with Panorama Park. It is a serious contender for the best park in Colorado Springs. (In my humble opinion.)

Panorama Park in Colorado Springs has many features. Some are even hidden. For example: did you know there is a hot wheel track? Tip: It's in the toddler-sized playground next to the sand pit!

Here are just SOME of the many features Panorama Park in Colorado Springs has to offer:

Splash Pad: On hot summer days, the splash pad becomes a favorite destination for families. With unpredictable spraying, it offers a refreshing and fun way for children to cool off and play. (Tip: You have touch the sensor to turn it on! Look for an image in the concrete with the shape of a foot, and rest your foot there!)

Fitness Stations: Along the park's walking and jogging trails, you'll find strategically placed fitness stations equipped with exercise equipment. These stations provide an opportunity for visitors to engage in a full-body workout while enjoying the fresh air and beautiful surroundings.

Multi-Use Sports Fields: A versatile sports field serves as the heart of the park's athletic activities. This well-maintained, open space is perfect for soccer, football, and various other sports, fostering community spirit through friendly competition. One contains turf, and the other contains grass!

Climbing Boulder: An impressive climbing boulder stands tall in the park, offering climbers of all ages and skill levels an exciting and adventurous challenge. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned climber, the boulder provides a fun and engaging workout.

Youth Area with Skate Features: This dedicated youth area includes a variety of skate features such as ramps, rails, and half-pipes. It's a popular spot for skateboarders, rollerbladers, and scooter riders to practice their tricks and connect with friends.

Sand Pit: A large sand pit area provides a creative space for children to dig, build, and explore. Equipped with toys and tools for sand play, it's a favorite spot for younger kids to unleash their imagination and have fun in a tactile environment.

Bike Park: For cycling enthusiasts, the park boasts a well-maintained bike park with trails and obstacles suitable for all skill levels. From beginners to experienced riders, there's a challenge and thrill for everyone.

Universally Accessible Playground: Thoughtfully designed with flat surfaces, adaptive swings, adaptive merry-go-round, and more, this inclusive playground ensures that children of all abilities can play together in a safe and welcoming environment.

Hike-to Slide: Adding an element of adventure, the park features a fun slide that children have a short, but steep hike to reach. This hill offers a moderate challenge but also helps expend their energy, making the thrilling slide ride even more rewarding. And the view from the top is exhilarating.

The list goes on and on. What are your favorite features? It would be so easy to do so much at this park. Including family get togethers, birthday parts, scavenger hunts, play dates and more! I hope you and your family build life long memories here. Thank you for reading my very first article!
