All Abilities Welcome!

The City is committed to making sports available to as many children as possible; this includes offering opportunities to children of all abilities. Through a partnership with the National Inclusion Project, residents can connect with an inclusion coordinator, who assesses specific needs and pairs these needs to appropriate services. To help us serve you, call (719) 385-5981 to discuss your families’ particular needs at least two weeks before the program you select is scheduled to begin.

Therapeutic Recreation Program

The City of Colorado Springs Therapeutic Recreation Program (TRP) offers even more opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to take part in leisure activities, including arts and culture experiences, social enrichment programs, and outdoor adventures. Learn more about TRP HERE.

Consider Coaching!

The Youth Sports Program relies on the participation of volunteer coaches dedicated to being a role model for the children enrolled. If you are registering your child to play, or are simply interested in the reward of guiding children toward a healthier and happier future, consider taking on the challenge of coaching.

Adults Play Too!

A Philosophy of Fair Play

The philosophy of the City’s Youth Sports Program is to nurture positive attitudes in young citizens by offering instruction on the fundamentals of each sport and teaching the importance of good sportsmanship and conduct. Through fun, non-competitive play, kids learn the importance of exercise and teamwork. Working together in a recreational setting also helps children appreciate the game, instills confidence, and helps build cognitive resiliency and principled behavior.
