Have you ever visited Garden of the Gods and wondered where the horseshoe prints on the trails come from? Have you seen horses out on the trails and wanted to take part in riding them yourself? Academy Riding Stables is where that happens. It's located right outside the park at 4 El Paso, Blvd., Colorado Springs. They offer daily rides for groups up to 10 people that you can book right from their site. For groups larger than that, you can call 719-633-5667 to book. Our Experience~
With my mom coming for a visit, I knew that riding horses in Colorado would make her trip so I called up Academy Riding Stables and inquired about their business. We decided to do a 1 hour tour for four of us girls (my mom, myself, and my two daughters Elle and Ava) on Earth Day and we were grateful that we had such beautiful weather. From that point forward, their customer service and kindness were on point. We arrived for our 1 hour horseback riding tour, signed a safety waiver, were fitted with helmets (optional) and then got sized up to our horses. Horses are chosen for each individual by the Academy Riding Stables staff and were well-behaved for the full hour. Some horses made us laugh, each having their own personality. Each animal seemed well cared for. With Colorado Springs having so many beautiful days spring through fall, please book a tour, you won't regret it! AND it's a great memory-maker!
