Our Experience at Cheyenne Mountain, A Dolce Resort

A Local Colorado Springs Getaway, Sponsored Content

Over Spring Break, our family of five spent a couple of days and a one night stay at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort located right here in the Springs. We had a very pleasant experience there and can't wait for the next visit!

The property is in a beautiful location sitting right at the base of Cheyenne Mountain and is also close to several tourist attractions, eateries, shopping centers & outdoor fun. Great for families! Upon arrival and throughout our stay, we experienced great customer service in each area of the resort. The main building has a nice lodge feel with an open floor plan on the main level and conference rooms on the lower level. All of which were well taken care of and clean. My kids like to wander so we meandered around a bit.

We stayed in two adjoining rooms in a cabin-like building that were comfortable and clean. They had mini-fridges, separated bathrooms, great smelling bath & body products (that's important to a mom) and fabulous views of the mountains. I highly recommend adjoining rooms if you have more than two kiddos. You can then enjoy a large king bed in one room while they get a room with two queen beds to themselves.

One of the wonderful things about our visit was being treated to a tour of the property which we would not have known much about otherwise. The Cheyenne Mountain Resort offers many great activities. Many are family-friendly. And in connection with the Colorado Country Club, they are able to offer active, family fun that you may not have the opportunity to do on your own time.

Our first morning, we enjoyed a grand breakfast buffet in one of the restaurants in the main building. One of the best parts about our morning was that the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo brings animals to the resort for guests to enjoy in the lobby before they head off to eat. Second morning was a brunch buffet which elevated the bar for us. I have not experienced such a wonderful and delicious assortment of brunch choices anywhere before. If you like mimosas, this is the brunch spot for you! Meals throughout the different restaurants were good as well.

During our stay, my kids really enjoyed the FREE family movies that were held indoors on a big screen. They watched the LEGO Batman movie and the new Beauty and the Beast. I honestly was not expecting them to choose to watch two movies in one day that they had seen already but they really enjoyed the experience, delicious popcorn & sodas. Once the sun went down, we grabbed s'mores kits and headed out to the large fire pit to roast them up. The s'mores bar offers many different topping choices to smother your marshmallow in before devouring it like a mad woman.

My husband took advantage of some downtime while the kids were movie-watching by heading to the spa for a pedicure. He has said nothing but great things in regards to his experience there.

Indulge your family this summer at Cheyenne Mountain, A Dolce Resort! It's right here in Colorado Springs! This resort offers an escape from the everyday grind.
