~Spring Break~ A Beautiful, Family-Friendly Resort Right in Our Community, Sponsored Content

By Nicole Hoeper, Publisher & Editor of Macaroni Kid Colorado Springs March 13, 2018

If you're like me, running out to get pizza on a week night occasionally requires me to drive by the beautiful landscape on the southwest side of the Springs, Cheyenne Mountain area. It is gorgeous in the evenings as the sun goes down! Although we live here in Colorado Springs, our family has not hit up some of the wonderful destinations that many out-of-towners travel to. We have a large variety of both beauty and fun activities right here in our community that many vacationers seek out and it's time for us locals to experience these places as a tourist would. Plus, this gives you plenty to share when you have visiting guests looking for your recommendations!

One of these gems is located in the area I mentioned above. With a beautiful golf course, water sports on their private lake, white sandy beaches, both indoor and outdoor tennis courts (and the list goes on), Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs, A Dolce Resort offers many family-friendly activities and has a wonderful line up of them set for Spring. Our family has been invited for a one-night stay at Cheyenne Mountain and  I, personally look forward to the s'mores bar and watching my family indulge themselves over Spring Break. We need out of the house and this resort does not require days worth of traveling, it is right here (basically in our backyard) and you don't want to overlook it!

Schedule your stay by clicking "Book NOW!" and customize your own itinerary by using the one of three themed lists that they have enlisted quite the experts to put together. View the resorts Spring Break Escape information below.

Starting March 1 – June 20, pint-sized travelers and parents can explore Colorado Springs until their heart is content. The resort enlisted the advice of honorary kid concierges (a.k.a. staff’s children) and local travel experts to assemble three themed lists that families can use to create their own customized itineraries.

  1. “Curious Adventures” focuses on highlighting experiences that combine exploration and education such as Space Foundation Discovery Center, Manitou Cliff Dwellings and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
  2. “Get Thrifting” focuses on free or moderately priced things to do and see in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area such as the Paint Mines Interpretive Park, Bishop’s Castle, and the Manitou Springs Mineral Springs.
