When my family moved to the Springs last year one of the first events we went to here was the Labor Day Lift Off. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend that you make a point to check it out! Being new to the area, we had been told about the celebration by several people. The first day of the festival we sat outside and watched all of the hot air balloons flying over our house. My son was amazed at all the balloons and made sure to wave and yell, “Hi!” to each one. The next day we knew we needed to get up early and head to Memorial Park to enjoy the festivities to the fullest extent. The show and atmosphere of the festival in the park was definitely worth getting up early. I’ve never seen so many different hot air balloons in my life. It was an experience I’ll never forget. We did attempt to attend/check out the balloon glow at night, but found parking to be a nightmare and decided we would need to plan that part better next year.
Labor Day is next weekend, so we’re already looking forward to attending the Labor Day Lift Off for the 2nd year.
